A person set himself on fireplace early Wednesday afternoon on the Ellipse in downtown Washington, not removed from the White Home, the Secret Service stated.
A spokesman for the Washington Fireplace Division instructed CNBC that, “I can verify that we have transported one affected person with burns from the Ellipse and we’re now on the scene helping regulation enforcement,” referring to Park Police and U.S. Secret Service officers.
The Secret Service had no remark aside from referring to the company’s tweet concerning the incident when contacted by CNBC.
White Home spokesman Hogan Gidley stated he couldn’t instantly remark.
